22 January 2015 - Fight against anti-Semitism – Visit by Mr. Harlem Désir and his German counterpart to New York
Mr. Harlem Désir, Minister of State for European Affairs, will visit New York tomorrow together with his German counterpart, Mr. Michael Roth, in order to participate in the extraordinary session of the UN General Assembly devoted to the fight against anti-Semitism.
On the anniversary of the signing of the Elysée Treaty and following the terrorist attacks in Paris, they will reaffirm our two countries’ commitment to the fight against racism and anti-Semitism.
On the sidelines of this meeting, Mr. Harlem Désir will meet with the representatives of several American Jewish organizations. He will meet with members of the French community as well as with the Committee of French Associations and French Language in New York. Mr. Harlem Désir will also take part in a round table organized by the European Institute at Columbia University focusing on key European current affairs issues.
