29 March 2010 - President Nicolas Sarkozy and Secretary General Ban Ki-moon meet in New York

The President of the Republic was in New York on Monday 29 March 2010, where he met with Secretary General Ban Ki-moon. Several international topics were to be discussed, including Sudan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Haiti (donor conference on 31 March in New York), the Middle East peace process, Iran, reform of the Security Council, climate negotiations.

While in New York the president also delivered a lecture at Columbia University.
