The members of the Security Council welcome the arrest on 25 May 2011, in the Republic Democratic of Congo (DRC), of Bernard Munyagishari, wanted by the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR) for charges of genocide and crimes against Humanity.
The members of the Security Council congratulate the DRC authorities on the arrest and their cooperation with the ICTR, pursuant to an international warrant issued in 2005.
The members of the Security Council reiterate their support for the search for the last fugitives from the ICTR and call on Member States to continue efforts to fight all forms of impunity in the Great Lakes region.
